In an effort to assure that there are no misunderstandings, we have outlined some points of potential confusion concerning our wedding cake policies.
Reservation
Fee - To secure a wedding date for your cake you must
place a $100.00 reservation fee. This
$150.00 fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another cake or
order.
Final
Payment- All Weddings cakes must be completely paid
for at least 10 business days prior to
wedding.
Matching colors- We make every
possible effort to match your wedding colors, however, to get as close as
possible you must provide us with a color swatch. When working with food grade
dyes, perfect color matches are sometimes impossible. Dark colored icings have a
tendency to darken further with time, humidity, and heat.
Deliveries- Deliveries
are taken on a first come, first served basis and must be arranged with a
practical concern for the delivered product. Our delivery personnel are renowned
for their promptness and ability to care for each cake. Therefore, we reserve
the right to make delivery decisions based on our experience of what is best for
the cake. Our delivery charges are based on difficulty and distance from the
bakery. If no one is at the site at the time of delivery or if we cannot gain
entry into the building, then we will return the cake to the bakery. The
responsibility for the delivery then becomes yours. Please take time to confirm
the time of delivery with the reception site so this does not happen.
Flowers- If
you choose to have fresh flowers on your cake, it is the florist’s
responsibility for providing the flowers and making sure they are safe to place
on an edible cake. If
you expect us to place the flowers on the cake, the flowers must be at the
reception site at the time agreed. If
they are not, our staff will not be able to wait for their arrival and therefore
will not be placed on the cake.
Changes-
Changes to an existing order: size, style, flavor, or
filling will be accepted until 10 business days
prior to the wedding. After that there will be a change charge of
$75.00 for any modification to the order.

Suggestions for saving your top layer for your First Anniversary Ask a responsible person to take your top tier home and without wrapping it, put it into the freezer immediately to harden the icing and it's beautiful decoration. Allow it remain for only a couple hours until frozen. Remove cake and loosely wrap in saran until the cake is well encircled many times with saran. Place in cake box, wrap in freezer paper and return to freezer. When removing cake from freezer, immediately remove wrappings, but loosely cover and thaw. Your cake will be as beautiful as the day of your wedding. Another important hint for preserving your cake for a year is to never keep it in a frost-free freezer. The constant defrosting to keep frost from accumulating in the freezer will draw all the moisture out of your cake and leave you with a dry, tasteless confection. |
